America First Policies Protect U.S. Workers
State Senator Chris McDaniel has spent the past decade in the legislature advancing policies that promote the interests of U.S. workers. He supports economic and trade policies that put America — and American workers! — first. He opposes massive trade agreements such as the Trans-Pacific Partnership, which President Trump also opposes, because of the many ways these agreements harm American jobs and the economy.
Chris McDaniel opposes crony deals that favor foreign workers or unfairly favor special interest groups. That is why he has been so critical of the crony Export-Import Bank, which has a track record of crushing small businesses and favoring large corporations that can pay for D.C. lobbyists.
Chris has championed U.S. workers when it comes to the lax enforcement of our immigration policies. He understands the relationship between immigration enforcement and protecting U.S. jobs, and that is why he co-authored legislation in 2008, which was signed into law by the Governor, requiring the mandatory use of E-Verify in Mississippi. E-Verify is a popular government program that enables employers to verify the legal and work status of prospective employees.
The McDaniel Record
Chris McDaniel is the co-author of the state’s E-Verify law, which requires companies to use a database to confirm the legal status of prospective employees. This simple measure, which the Governor signed into law, protects businesses and the Mississippi workforce, as well as taxpayers in the state.
